MISSISSIPPI SNOW

I love to shoot in the Mississippi snow! It's about all the snow we get around here. There is a short window, too, to photograph it. I was so excited when Lily's Mom told me she wanted to use it for our next backdrop. I've been taking Lily's photos since she was in elementary school. I can not believe she will be a Senior next year! She is always the perfect model for me.

BAILEY FAMILY

Well, about 5 minutes before this family showed up, I dropped my camera! And I mean, I dropped it.

It slammed so hard on the concrete; I thought I was going to be sick. Thank goodness, I had my backup camera

with me. It saved me on this day:) It's always good to have a second one with you at all times. This family is so sweet. I work with Lynn, the mother, at my graphic design job. Her daughter was here from New York for a few weeks and Lynn wanted to go ahead and get a few family photos in while she was home.

I'm so glad they did! Check out that bw photo of mom and dad. It is one of my favs plus the family photo with the cypress trees. I just love that reflection in the water!

This brother and sister were naturals. They got along great which made my job pretty easy that day. We took these photos at the Trace which is one of my main go-to locations for photos. It is a pretty popular place, too, for photography. Once, I had to share it with 6 other photographers! :)

Swiftown, Mississippi

Miki and I had the opportunity to photograph Cory and Callie's wedding a couple of weeks ago
deep in the delta in a small town named Swiftown. Surrounded by soybean fields,
this was such a beautiful wedding at the home of the bride's parents.
